STEAM FULL RELEASE · WALKTHROUGH

Welcome to Elderfield Walkthrough

Follow the Steam Full Release step by step, with the main route kept separate from optional and parallel content such as the Ranch and relationship-driven paths.

This page names the recorded progression steps, so it contains spoilers up to the endgame. It does not describe how the story ends.

Where are you now?

Jump to the step you are on. Every stage below carries the release’s own entry condition, outcome and next step — the chips are a table of contents, not a progress tracker.

Main Route

The recorded steps in the order the release records them. The number on each step is the step’s own place in that order.

Grouped Stages

The release groups some of the steps below into stages of its own. A grouping covers steps the main route already numbers; it adds none.

A grouping is the release’s own editorial stage, not a second count of the route: the numbers on its steps are the same numbers the main route gives them.

Stage by Stage

Each card carries the record’s own three sentences: what the stage starts after, what it grants or unlocks, and which step follows. Where the record has nothing recorded, the card says that.

A Start button opens the stage’s own step-by-step page.

Parallel Paths

These run beside the main route from early on. Neither is a gate, and neither has to be finished before the towns.

Every card’s condition is the release’s own sentence about that path. A gameplay system is not automatically a parallel path: only the paths the progression record itself marks as parallel appear here.

Stuck Somewhere?

This page routes; it does not diagnose. Each of these goes to the page that answers the question against your own game.

Need the Big Picture?

This page is the order of the steps. The progression guide is the shape of the whole release: what is main, what is parallel, and what is a prerequisite for what.

Walkthrough Questions

The questions this page is asked most, answered from the recorded route.

I reached Town 2. What should I do next?
Town 2 opens several things at once: Old Woods, Elderfield High, Town 3. The main route continues to Town 3, and none of the others has to be finished first.
Does Deep Woods come before Deep Mall?
The proven deep-research order is Deep Mall, then Deep Woods, then Deep Catacombs.
I have the Climbing Rope. Why can’t I enter Deep Catacombs?
Progress Meet Sophia far enough to prepare the Catacombs pit route.
  • Return the Essence of Delvek during Deeper Research to receive the Climbing Rope.
  • The Climbing Rope is only one of the two requirements, and having it does not mean the way down is open on its own.
Is Elderfield High part of the main story?
Elderfield High is a relationship-driven parallel scenario, not a main-story step.
Why didn’t the Ranch open?
The Ranch system opens on Day 5 after you have spoken to Farmer Hans.
What comes after Deep Catacombs?
The research arc continues: collect the Essence of Kaal and return it to Professor Dayton, which reveals the Ancient Iron Key and points you at the Art Gallery. From there the Shrine’s final phase is the last recorded step.

Playing the Demo?

The Demo has its own progression

The archived Demo and the Steam Full Release record different progression, so this walkthrough does not describe the Demo. The archive keeps a progression guide of its own; it has no walkthrough page, and this door will not pretend otherwise.
