STEAM FULL RELEASE · PLAYER TOOL

What Should I Give This Character?

Choose a character to see their confirmed gift preferences, where each gift comes from, and whether an item has important uses you may want to keep first.

Built from the Steam Full Release: 530 gift items, 9 characters and 3806 recorded reactions.

Who are you giving a gift to?

Search by name or by a place they are seen in. A character’s own page covers where they are and what they do; this tool answers what to hand over.

These narrow the list rather than change it. Both boxes start on, because a first recommendation should be one you can replace.

Source

Show only gifts reached a given way. A gift with more than one route appears under each.

Best Confirmed Options Right Now

No item on this character’s highest list matches everything you have asked for. Here are lower-risk positive preferences, with clearer repeatable sources, that do.

Other Positive Preferences (5)

A confirmed positive reaction where the route or the replacement is not confirmed, so these are worth knowing about without being a first recommendation.

Playing the Demo? The Demo archive keeps its own gift page, built from the reactions the Demo records. There is no gift finder there: this tool reads the full release, and the two releases never share a gift preference. Open the Demo gifts page

How this page reads a gift preference

Every character has four lists of gifts — loved, liked, neutral and hated — and there is a shared pair of lists that applies to everyone. When an item is named on more than one list, the answer is the list the game reads first, and a character’s own list is always read before the shared one.

The five reactions this page shows

Loves
The release lists this item among the gifts this character loves.
Likes
The release lists this item among the gifts this character likes.
Neutral
The release records a neutral reaction to this item for this character. It is not the same as an item nobody listed: this one is on a list.
Hates
The release lists this item among the gifts this character hates.
Special gift
This item is read on a path of its own before the shared lists, so its reaction is not one of the four list strengths and is not compared with them.

Which list wins when two lists name the same item

Loves → Hates → Likes → Neutral → The shared lists, which run last

Read left to right. Hates sits before Likes because the release reads it that way, so an item on both lists is a hated gift.

The layers behind each answer

This character’s own list
The release records this item on this character’s own list, at the strength shown.
The shared list every character falls back to
No list of this character’s own names the item, so the shared lists decide, and they apply to every character.
This character’s default reaction
Neither the character’s own lists nor the shared lists name this item, so the release’s own fallback reaction applies. This page shows no strength for it and does not call it Neutral.

A character can also react to a group of items as a set — a fish, a fruit, a drink. This release records no such rule, so every answer here comes from an item being named directly.

Two gifts in the same tier are equally strong as far as the release records it. This page does not put a number on a reaction and does not order gifts within a tier by strength.

A reaction is not a price, a use or a safety check. An item this character loves can still be an item you need elsewhere, and a quest item is never recommended here.

Nothing on this page ranks gifts by how easy they are to get. The release records where an item comes from, not how much effort it costs, and guessing is how a page starts inventing advice.

Neutral is a recorded reaction. An item that appears in no list at all is a different answer and is shown as one.

Check item uses before gifting. A limited item. The release records it as available only in limited circumstances. This item has no page of its own yet.
