Browse by Source

The kinds of source the release records for armor, and what each one means for a piece you are looking for.

Browse by Area

The places the release records armor in, with how many pieces are recorded in each. Armor made at a bench is not counted under an area, because a bench is not one.

Armor and Progression

The conditions the release records against armor pieces, grouped by the condition itself. Three or more pieces have to share a condition for it to be listed here.

This is not a ranking and not a tier list. Each line is what the release records as standing between a reader and the piece — never a claim about how good the piece is.

How to Read the Armor Numbers

Every number on a piece is an equipment modifier the release records for it, printed under the release’s own label. Nothing here is a rating, a score or a verdict on the piece.

A modifier is what the piece adds to a character who wears it, and it is the only kind of number this database shows. The release records where a piece comes from, when it becomes available and what it takes to make it as well — but it records no rating, no score and no tier, so none appears here.

A negative modifier is information, not a gap. Plenty of armor trades one modifier away for another, Defense against Agility being the common one, so a card prints the negative rather than hiding it. A zero does not appear at all, because a modifier the release records as 0 and one it does not record are two different answers.

The number after a name is part of the item’s identity rather than a strength rating. Cultist’s Boots +7 and Archmage’s Boots +8 are two different recorded items, and the release records no rule that the higher number is the better one. Two pieces that share a name stem are not a set either, and the release records no set bonus for them.

Recorded for a piece
Its equipment modifiers, its source, its place, its availability and what it takes to craft or upgrade into it.
Not recorded for a piece
A damage figure, a rating, a tier, rarity and set bonuses hold no value anywhere in this release.
The +N in a name
Part of the item’s identity. A higher number is a different item, not a better one.

The archive has no armor database of its own

This database is built from the Steam release. The archived Demo predates the release’s item record and ships no armor list of its own, so its item search is an entry point rather than a database like this one. The two releases share no equipment facts, so this pointer stays a deliberate crossing rather than a link.
